Dallas police are searching for four masked gunmen who killed two men in a shopping center parking lot two years ago.

Up-and-coming Dallas rapper Zeethewizard died Monday from injuries stemming from a shooting during the early hours of New Year’s Day, according to the Dallas Police Department. The incident took place outside a Dallas strip club called Pink House. Authorities responded to Empire Central near the northbound Stemmons Freeway around 3:45 a.m.

One person died and another was hospitalized following a shooting in northwest Dallas on Friday, police said. Officers responded to a call about a shooting in the 11800 block of High Meadow Drive about 5:20 a.m., according to a statement from Dallas police. There, officers found that two people had been shot by a known suspect.

"I just wish our young black men, especially, would think that you don't have to be whatever it is that this microcosm says you have to be," said Torrence Burnett.

The rapper and four others were taken to a local hospital after being shot early in the morning on New Year’s Day.

Zecqurie Cannon Grant Fields, 25, was critically injured shortly before 4 a.m. Thursday when gunfire erupted outside Pink House Dallas.
